Working whilst still at school
The official school leaving age for year 11 students is the last Friday in June. However, young people are required to stay in learning for longer. This does not mean staying at school but all young people are required to continue learning after year 11.
There are rules about how many hours and the types of work that young people who are have not yet reached that age are allowed to do.
