Students at Morgans Primary School in Hertford get set to blast off into secondary school

Rocket into the Future is the careers and work related learning programme designed for primary school students by Youth Connexions. Personal Advisers delivered a Rocket into the Future session for both Year 6 classes at Hertford’s Morgans Primary School on 8th June.

Youth Connexions delivered the careers group work course Rocket into the Future across the whole spring term in The Grange Junior School, Letchworth Garden City. The module introduces children in years 5 and 6 to the choices ahead, and starts them thinking about their skills, aspirations and opportunities.

Youth Connexions received award for DofE success at Buckingham Palace

On 16th May, Jonathan Jack, Youth Connexions Engagement Manager, attended a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) Gold Award Presentation at Buckingham Palace. Youth Connexions received a special plaque, acknowledging Hertfordshire County Council’s commitment to running the DofE since 1974.
Saturday Drugs Awareness session a big success

Early May saw the delivery of a very successful drugs education workshop by youth workers from the Youth Connexions team in Watford at the Al-Lawh Academy, which provides Islamic Education to young people of Watford and the surrounding areas.
Students in Hertsmere get in the know about staying safe

Youth Connexions has been delivering sessions at Dame Alice Owens School, Potters Bar, exploring how to stay safe when it comes to sex, alcohol and drugs.
