County Councillor Sara Bedford and Vice Chair of the Abbots Langley Parish Council, Liz Burns, joined ex-England and Arsenal Captain Kelly Smith MBE and girls from a local school football team on Monday morning, 23rd May, for the official launch of new sports equipment in Abbots Langley.

Youth Connexions received award for DofE success at Buckingham Palace

On 16th May, Jonathan Jack, Youth Connexions Engagement Manager, attended a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) Gold Award Presentation at Buckingham Palace. Youth Connexions received a special plaque, acknowledging Hertfordshire County Council’s commitment to running the DofE since 1974.

A new project for young women run by Youth Connexions in South Oxhey has got off to a great start.  Called ‘Eyes Open’, the aim of the project is to enable young people to recognise and develop positive healthy relationships – and, as a result, to ensure that they are less vulnerable to exploitation in the future.
